GWINNETT SENIORNET PC USER GROUP 225 Bethesda Church Road, in Bethesda Park, Lawrenceville, Georgia Telephone: 770-564-4699 The Gwinnett SeniorNet PC User Group (GSNPCUG) is sponsored by the Gwinnett SeniorNet Computer Learning Center (GSNLC) as a service to the community and to foster continued interest in the use of computers. Information on upcoming computer classes and the activities of the Learning Center can be found at that site. There will be a drawing for some very nice door prizes at each of our meetings. There is no charge to attend the PC User Group meetings.

September Program The September User Group program on September 12, 2008 at 1 p.m. will be presented by our own volunteer Rod Rakes. His presentation is entitled "GPS for the Consumer." He will discuss the various types of devices currently available, shortcomings, applications, brands, prices, and sources for purchasing. He has built a unique fixture for capturing a live video of a GPS device while traveling in his car. This will give a feel for actual performance. Also, the fixture will be used to show screen shots and features of his own GPS. If time permits, the audience may comment and ask questions. All visitors are welcome. Registration at Bethesda will be on Tues. Sept. 9th from 9:30 to 12 noon with a "Late Registration" (space available) on Sept. 10th from 1 to 3 p.m. Registration at GPP will be on Sept. 10th from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
